Spencer Tollackson was born on November 29, 1985 in Chaska, Minnesota. He joined the Minnesota Gophers men’s basketball team in 2004-05 for his freshman season.
Spencer Tollackson enters his senior season at the University of Minnesota as the team’s best low-block scorers. He has started 33 games for the Gophers while seeing action in 86 total. In his junior season, Tollackson averaged 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds a game. He played his best game versus Iowa State on November 21, scoring 24 points and snatching 13 rebounds. Tollackson scored his 600th career point and grabbed his 300th rebound during his junior season.
Spencer Tollackson had a productive sophomore season as a Gopher, leading the Big Ten in field goal percentage in conference games at .623. He was also ninth overall in blocked shots with 0.81 blocks per game. Had a good outing against South Dakota State on December 23, when he scored 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting in only 28 minutes.
Spencer Tollackson played in all 32 games his freshman season and contributed considerable numbers. Played a great game versus Loyola Marymount on January 3 when he scored 12 points and grabbed two rebounds in 16 minutes.
Spencer Tollackson graduated from Chaska High School in Chaska, Minnesota. He led his team to a 30-2 record his senior year en route to a state championship. Tollackson’s leadership and performance earned him Minnesota’s Mr. Basketball award in 2004. The 6-foot-9 big man also became the all-time leading scorer in Chaska High School and Lake Conference history with 1,868 points. He averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds his senior year. Was also a three-time letterwinner in baseball, with a fastball clocked in the high 80s.
Spencer Tollackson is a theater major at the University of Minnesota. He is the son of Richard and Patty Tollackson.
