Dominique Dawson is a Minneapolis native who knew from early on that he wanted to play basketball at the University of Minnesota. Standing at 6 feet 7 inches, Dominique Dawson has always had the size to be a basketball superstar and now is getting the chance to develop his skills.

Dominique Dawson started his playing career at Minneapolis Southwest where during his senior season he became a real powerhouse player. Dominique Dawson was also a football player for Minneapolis Southwest. Dominique Dawson agreed to play for the Minneapolis Golden Gophers in 2009 and shortly after was added to the Gophers Basketball roster.
