Blake Hoffarber
Blake Hoffarber was born April 27, 1988 in Minnetonka, Minnesota. He is a University of Minnesota freshman Gopher basketball player. He played high school basketball at Hopkins High School in Hopkins, Minnesota. Hoffarber is an excellent basketball player and has earned many awards. He was named 2007 Mr. Basketball in Minnesota and was ranked 76th by ESPN.com for high school basketball players. He was also a top 100 player by Street & Smith’s, Sports Illustrated and CBS Sportsline. Hoffarber averaged 25.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 3.0 steals per game his senior year. He even won an ESPY Award for “Best Play” in 2005 and became the first High School Athlete to win an ESPY Award. Blake Hoffarber was the leading scorer for the Minnesota Class AAAA State Champion games in 2005 & 2006. He also won the Most Valuable Player Award the same years. He was a five-time letterwinner with Hopkins and graduated with a 3.9 GPA. During his freshman year in 2007-2008, Blake Hoffarber became one of the top 3-pointers in Minnesota history, including a game winning buzzer shot in a quarterfinal match-up against Indiana. Over the course of 15 games, Blake Hoffarber scored in the double digits. At 6’4”, Blake Hoffarber is an excellent outside shooter and adds depth to the Gopher backcourt.
